Painting In-Progress

So, I present St. Sebastion...not finished

New Painting

This painting was inspired by two things: 1) the almost total rip-off of a painting by Siegfried Reinhardt, and 2) some graffiti in the sewer next to my apartment.

Last Friday I participated in a fundraiser for local film makers Sarah Ledbetter and Matteo Servente. The goal was to raise money for their upcoming film, The Romance of Loneliness. http://www.romanceofloneliness.com/romanceofloneliness.swf

I previewed three paintings for the Magnificent exhibition. Opinions were favorable. A friend of mine ribbed me about the name of my show, not understanding "magnificent" isn't an homage to my ego ;) Instead he suggested:
